Structure of FRP Tank

1. Anti-corrosive Inner liner

The inner liner consists of surface ply and second inner liner function of the inner surface ply is impermeable and anti-corrosion. The resin is determined according to the medium. Contains of resin is more than 90%, called rich-resin ply. The second inner liner contains certain short-cut filaments. While contains of resin still amount to 70-80%.Thats the second protective ply to corrosion and percolating. it can also protect the inner surface liner in the case of crazing occurs in structural ply.

2. Structural ply

This ply is mainly for bearing load. Its thickness is determined by structure analysis. Structural form of the material is mainly glass filament winding forming.

3. Surface ply:

The function of this ply is mainly for protecting structural ply and prevent from ageing.

Features of FRP Tank

1.  Light weight: density of FRP is about 1.5-1.9g/cm3. That is 1/4 of the steels. while its strength is much higher. And it is much lighter than the metal vessels.
